I took Sam to the multi-cultural event at school. I think the Swedish dishes were my favorite. I love their meatballs! Sam and I went shopping for Cree, since she hurt her foot! What a bummer. Sam made a stir fry for dinner! While eating, we chatted with Kees who was visiting the dorm.
Sam and I skyped with Professor Cal Jen! Before going to bed, we watched the fourth episode of Dexter haha. I think I got Sam hooked on the t.v. series!

Sam and I rode the wonderful Tram 5 downtown and toured around Koningsplein. We grabbed some lunch from a local grocery store and ate fries with picks, which Samantha was fascinated with. We people watched while chilling on a bench near my church. We walked over to the flower market and also strolled down a street with chic stores. This street reminded us of our trip to Hollywood a few years back, so we named the street, Amsterdam Boulevard. I showed Sam my university on our way back to my apartment. Sam and I ended our night with a trip to the campus café to hang out with friends and new people. Also, I can’t believe that Osama Bin ladin has been killed!

Samantha and I grabbed some coffee with Eva before sending her off on a Germany-bound train at Amsterdam Central Station. We noticed several vacuum trucks cleaning up the streets from the party yesterday. However, there were still alleyways filled with piles of trash. Sam and I miss Eva already!
I introduced Sam to FEBO at lunch! She got a kick out of the vending machine-like service it provides for customers. The sun shown down on us as we ate our lunch while standing up on a tourist-crowded street in the middle of the city. Sam and I then visited my church and shopped at H+M. We watched the Royal Wedding on youtube before going to bed.

Eva, Samantha, and I put on our orange gear before heading downtown with the thousands of others to take part in the Koninginnedag celebrations! What a holiday! While taking the lovely tram into the city, we met up with Anna, Tyler, Shay, and Bernard. We toured the city from early to late afternoon together. What a crazy site to see! There were so many people, orange, beer, puke, outdoor urinals, garbage, music, bicycles, party boats, and second-hand sales. Later on, we came across Nate in the sea of orange near the largest concert area. He joined us for dinner at an Argentinian restaurant.
Eva, Sam, and I skyped with Mom and Ryleigh late evening. Ry has prom next week and showed us her dress! We ended the holiday with an episode of Vampire Diaries.

Today, Samantha arrived in the Netherlands to visit me for three weeks! I am super excited to see what adventures we will have together! Eva and I picked Sam up from Central Station downtown Amsterdam and met three Spanish friends of Sam’s along the way. We went to my room and rested a bit before going back downtown to celebrate Queen’s Night! I brought Sam and Eva around the city center. So many people! We met up with Chase, Johan, Joost, Carlos, Clas, Hessel, and Nate later in the evening. Together, we all went out for drinks, rode the thriller ride at the carnival, and danced! Also, Prince William and Princess Kathryn got married today in England! Sam was actually passing through London the same time the wedding was going on! Crazy!
